UGA & Study Group 8 Dec 2009

All are invited to attend. If you happen to be in Salt Lake, Ol' Myrt here would love to meet with you.

WHAT: Utah Genealogical Association & DearMYRTLE's Study Group Meeting
at the Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah.

WHEN: Wednesday, 9 Dec 2009, from 6 pm - 8:45 pm

WHERE: The classroom on B-1 (to the south of the photocopy center.)

SHARE: The first 10 people can "share", then we'll discuss how to place your data on a flash drive using RootsMagic. We'll also tackle the last two migration groups in Albion's Seed: Four British Folkways in America by David Hackett Fischer:

* North Midlands to the Delaware - the Friends Migration

* Borderlands to the Backcountry - The Flight from Middle Britain and Northern Ireland

Though you may not have ancestors in either group, study of social, religious, housing, government and other "folkways" will serve to hone analysis skills when looking at our own immigrant ancestors.

NOTE: This will be our last meeting until February 2010, owing to the Utah Genealogical Association's annual Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, 11-15 January 2010. All are encouraged to attend this week-long intensive 20 hours of classroom instruction. See the UGA website for more details.

Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt :)

That is superb information. I live at Temple Square in Salt Lake City and with a bit of luck I will be there. Thanks a lot for your kind information.
